Over 40 players turned out for the ITA annual random tandem turkey shoot on Sunday, 11/13/16.
Hot, sunny conditions didn’t dampen seven rounds of mixed doubles action.
In the men’s division John Nguyen was crowned champion earning 27 of a possible 30 points
(so if you lost to John 6-0 you had plenty of company!) Second place Daniel Trinh scored 21
points edging out Scott Ryan and Michael Zhang with 20. Following with 18 were Paul Webber
and Jim Touguchi.
In the ladies division Joyce Kim claimed the title and the winners Albertson’s turkey gift card
with 22 points. Suzanne Frank earned the second place t-shirt with 21 points. Mary Meister and
newcomer Nijule Jasinskiene rated third place with 20 points just in front of Nan Diesen-Ng
and Jenny Hua’s 19.
The thanksgiving feast featuring turkey with gravy, BBQ turkey, mashed potatoes, cole slaw,
baked beans, and butternut squash was topped off by brownies and pumpkin spice cake.
