Braving breezy weather 40 members participated in the Annual ITA Turkey shoot on Sunday the 16th. Mark Gross was crowned the men’s champion with 22 points.
David Matsuyama and Tony Wong vied for second place with 20. Followed by Blane Muruoka, Tom Kipp, Michael Zhang and Austin Galliguez all with 19 points.
The ladies division featured a four-way tie for first place with 20 points each. A traditional racket spin decided the final awards order:
Noriko Imai, Yolanda Huapaya, Janice Ashton, and Lori Greenman. Closely behind the winners were: Anneke Chang 19, Marcella Wilson 18,
and Susan Ambrozich, Moscha van Dijk, Nan Diesen-Ng, and Suzanne Frank with 17 points.
Champions earned at $20 Albertson’s gift card, second place a $10 Starbucks gift card, third place an ITA fleece blanket, and fourth place
a bottle of sparkling cider or can of tennis balls. Everyone enjoyed a hearty lunch of BBQ turkey, smoked turkey, mashed potatoes, cole slaw,
beans, salad, rolls, brownies and cookies. The strawberry cream puffs donated by Ray were a big hit too!
